Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations to diagnose and treat patients across various medical conditions
- Provide evidence-based medical advice, treatment recommendations, and prescriptions as appropriate
- Perform thorough medical assessments, reviewing patients' medical histories, symptoms, and diagnostic test results
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs, ensuring continuity of care
- Collaborate with patients to educate and empower them to actively participate in their healthcare journey
- Utilize telemedicine platforms and technology to deliver remote healthcare services effectively
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for each patient encounter
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including specialists and allied healthcare professionals, as needed
- Stay current with advancements in telemedicine, medical technology, and best practices in virtual care delivery
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain professional licensing standards
Job requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction(s)
- Board certification or eligibility in a medical specialty or subspecialty
- Experience practicing medicine, preferably with experience in telemedicine or remote healthcare
- Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and other virtual care technologies
- Excellent clinical judgment and ability to make accurate diagnoses remotely
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently, manage a virtual practice, and handle a diverse patient population
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable private and confidential workspace
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate patient needs and varying time zones
